Green Roofs

The origins of green roofs began thousands of years ago, with one of the most famous ancient green roofs being the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Modern green roofs are made of a system of layers placed over the roof to support soil medium and vegetation. Earth covered rooftops are effective for insulation, keeping homes cool in summer and warm in winter.
